Out for a stroll around Dalton Crags woodlands, on a beautiful sunny Friday afternoon. We love kissing gates! It’s become a bit of a tradition that we kiss going through them, and I managed to get this adorable shot of Bee kissing Daddy 😍
As we ventured further through the woods, we came upon a grassy area… And found a Slow Worm! Although it looks like a snake, it’s actually a limbless lizard (yes, there’s a difference!). Very very cool!
We didn’t realise quite how many bkackberries would be about – the ones in our hedge are mostly still green. So, feeling the need to take advantage of this abundance, but lacking in something more suitable to collect them in, we used the potette.
Thank goodness Pip didn’t need to actually use the potette!
We wondered further and found a lovely area of woodland with lots of fallen dead wood, great for a little shelter building! So after deciding it was safe to venture in (not too windy) we built a shelter. And when I say we, I mostly mean I! I may have gotten a bit carried away! It’s nowhere near complete, but I’m hoping we can pop back in the future and add to it 🙂
