Black”poo”l Illuminations…

Plan: Get the train to Blackpool in time for lunch. Go to Illuminasia. Have Tea. See Illuminations via tram. Go home about 8pm.
Reality: Drive to Blackpool at 5pm. Have tea at Pizza Hut and fill kids with ice cream factory sugar…

Start walking up illuminations at 8pm with a hyper Pip (3y) and Bee (18m).

They were still going at 10pm…

And then…

Pip: “I NEED A POO!”

And just like trained bomb disposal experts/F1 pit stop mechanics, myself and daddy flew into a well practiced routine of dropping everything, scooping up and de-bottoming Pip, while the other erects the potette just in time for the bomb to drop.

… Or actually not quite in time on this occasion.

(No poo pictured – this is just the aftermath)

A familiar picture to many, I’m sure!

  1. Blackpool illuminations sounds cool. I haven’t been there yet. I’m sure you had great time until… you’ve become a bomb disposal expert. Awww I am not saying anything about that bit as I believe in irony. 😉 lol

  2. Wow, your little ones are doing well to still be going at 10pm! Mine are always crashing at 8pm, even when we’re out doing something exciting! Poor you with the bomb disposal, we’re lucky that we’ve never had to do that yet, he’s quite regular with it in the morning thankfully!

haha I laughed so much at the poo story. This sounds so familiar to our potty training experiences at the moment. I love their little back packs, they’re so cute and they sound so energetic in the video, so sweet! It sounds like, despite the poo, it was a fun evening. Thanks so much for linking up to #Whatevertheweather 🙂 x
